TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Agreed before
you order.
Terms for prospect lists and data extracts for businesses, whether you order directly on the website or accept a quotation.
Updated November 2, 2026
1. Who the agreement covers
These terms apply to orders for business lists and agreed data extracts from Markedsdata. The supplier and contracting party is Portalen Gruppen AS, org. no. 899 551 222 MVA, Tjuvholmen allé 3, 0252 Oslo.
The quote and any separate written agreements describe the specific delivery and take precedence over these general terms if they conflict.
2. Inquiries, quotes, and orders
The service is for business customers. A submitted audience or contact form is a no-obligation inquiry. For a manual order, the agreement is formed when the customer accepts the quotation. Criteria, information, scope, format, price, and delivery time are agreed before acceptance.
For direct purchases, the extract is prepared before payment. The customer can review the product, criteria, deliverable businesses, price, and source data before confirming the order. The customer chooses card payment through Stripe or, where offered, a binding order with an advance invoice. Only extracts that can be prepared automatically are offered for direct purchase; other selections can be submitted for manual counting and a quotation.
One-time data extracts do not require an account or subscription. Access to any future subscription service is not included unless separately agreed.
3. What is delivered
The delivery follows the criteria and field layout in the quotation or order summary. The number of businesses matching a database search is not necessarily the same as the number of available phone numbers or email addresses. A contact list is priced by the businesses that meet the agreed contact requirement.
Extracts are based on information registered in the Brønnøysund Register Centre and any other sources specified for the delivery. When included in the agreement, information may also be obtained from businesses’ own websites or other lawfully available digital sources. Fields not completed in the source may be blank in the delivery. Industry 2 and Industry 3 are supplementary information not registered for every business; blank supplementary industries are not in themselves a defect. Missing information is not filled in with assumed values. Enrichment or manual collection beyond the agreed scope must be agreed separately.
A requirement for “registered phone/mobile” means the business must have at least one registered number in the phone or mobile field. The numbers are delivered in separate columns. An empty phone column is not a defect when a mobile number is registered, and vice versa. Businesses with both are counted once in the overall contact coverage. The column counts must therefore not be added together. These clarifications do not change the requirement that the delivery meet the agreed selection criteria.
Technical email verification is included when the delivery contains email fields, including business extracts and call lists. The customer pays for the confirmed number of businesses in the list. A registered email requirement applies only when selected as a selection criterion or product requirement. All agreed business rows are delivered, even if an email is missing or invalid, while the number of addresses that pass verification will vary.
The first download starts verification of the available email addresses. The base list remains available while verification continues in the background, even if the customer leaves the page. The completed delivery is a new, complete CSV with all agreed business rows, the original fields, and integrated verification statuses and date. The base list and a separate verification report are retained. When the file is ready, we send a service email to the address used for payment, with a personal delivery link. Invalid, catch-all, and unresolved addresses are marked separately. Verification time varies; supplier errors may require manual follow-up. Passing verification is not a delivery guarantee or permission to market. Phone numbers are not verified by this check.
Direct purchases are delivered as a CSV with an overview of the source data, extraction date, and available information. The prepared file and price are locked for the specific order. Later register changes do not change the file being purchased.
After payment is confirmed, private downloading is available on the receipt page in the same browser used to place the order. For new automated orders from October 13, 2026 at 15:40 (Norwegian time), the base list is available for seven days after confirmed payment. When email verification is included and starts within the deadline, the customer gets seven days from completion of the verified file. If verification is delayed or stops, the customer must contact us to clarify; files are not stored indefinitely. Earlier orders retain their agreed deadline. For new orders, every file download requires a fresh one-time code sent to the email address provided at payment. The code is valid for up to ten minutes, can be used once, and enables downloading in that browser for up to fifteen minutes. The personal delivery link can be opened on another device but does not replace code verification. Do not share the link or code. Downloading is blocked at the deadline, and delivery files are automatically removed in subsequent scheduled deletion runs. If a technical error occurs, deletion is followed up; order and accounting records, source data, and backups have separate retention purposes. If download of the completed verified file has not been recorded, we may send one reminder near the end of the access period. Download and save the file before the deadline. If the link is missing or delivery problems occur, contact us with the order number. Do not pay again to resolve an access issue. Downloading may be blocked while a refunded or disputed payment is being resolved.
Register and financial statement data describe a basis at a point in time. Later changes at a business may make information outdated. Financial figures apply to the stated financial year; they are not real-time information or a guarantee of future ability to pay.
A qualified prospect meets agreed criteria. This does not mean the company has shown purchase interest, consented to a specific marketing channel, or agreed to a meeting.
Optional contact enrichment
Contact enrichment is ordered separately as an optional add-on to the base list. Before payment, the customer selects the desired role or known managing director and contact channel: work email, direct mobile number, or both. The order summary shows the base list, enrichment add-on, and total price. The add-on is priced by the number of businesses in the list, at a fixed agreed price before work begins. The customer does not pay per search, attempt, or finding.
After payment is confirmed, we make new inquiries to relevant APIs and other sources on the customer’s documented instructions. We do not reuse contact findings from earlier assignments for a new delivery, including between customers. New inquiries do not guarantee that all information in the sources has been updated recently. The base list can be downloaded while enrichment continues in the background. We send a service email to the buyer when the contact file is ready. No countdown or guaranteed completion time is shown. Queue capacity and assignment scope are assessed before ordering. If work stops or is substantially delayed, we follow up and agree on continued delivery or another appropriate settlement.
The number of businesses is not a guarantee of an equal number of identified people, email addresses, or direct mobile numbers. Findings and uncertainty are marked separately. A relevant person at a parent, subsidiary, or other group company may be included, with the actual company affiliation stated. A registered business phone number is not automatically a documented direct line to a person.
Enrichment also includes a technical check of available unique mobile numbers in the ordered base list. Checking network status does not establish who uses the number. Email and mobile checks show the actual result and time; catch-all, unknown status, and technical errors are not presented as passed checks. Information should not be considered confirmed solely because a technical check is positive.
For new contact assignments carried out on the customer’s instructions, the customer is the controller for collection and use, and Portalen Gruppen AS is the processor. Before work begins, the customer accepts the data processing addendum with recipient overview and gives specific instructions on purposes, legal basis, retention criteria, and information handling. The customer chooses whether to provide the required privacy information itself or have us assist with sending it on its behalf. This choice does not change controller responsibilities, deadlines, or individuals’ rights. An accepted information plan is not evidence that the information has been provided.
Information must be provided within a reasonable period and no later than one month after collection on the customer’s behalf, and earlier at first contact or the first onward disclosure to another recipient. Returning information to the same customer does not restart the deadline. When we assist with sending, the message identifies the customer and provides the required privacy information without sales content. Lack of a suitable email address or a delivery error requires specific follow-up; we do not send SMS and do not automatically assume an exemption applies. Earlier orders retain their agreed terms and allocation of responsibilities.
For new contact assignments, the completed contact file is available for up to seven days from completion, and never beyond the assignment’s agreed research deadline. Access has the same controls as other delivery files. The research log and source evidence are retained for the agreed short period, up to 30 days. Contact information stored in the customer’s private workspace/CRM follows the customer’s instructions and retention criteria. It is not reused for other customers. Limited agreement, delivery, and rights documentation may be retained longer when necessary. Further retention, return, and deletion terms are set out in the data processing addendum. The fixed price covers work completed within the agreed scope; few or no findings do not by themselves automatically entitle the customer to a price reduction. This does not limit the customer’s right to correction or another remedy for a deviation from the agreement. The customer must have its own lawful basis for subsequent use and marketing.
4. Price and payment
The price is stated in the quotation or prepared order. Amounts are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. For card payments, Stripe handles the payment, and the tax and total amount are shown before payment is confirmed. A direct purchase is a one-time payment with no subscription. Extracts covering more than 25,000 businesses require a quotation.
For a binding list order with an advance invoice, the customer receives an advance payment request with a seven-day payment deadline. The exact deadline is shown in the order. The delivery is opened only after the full payment has been reconciled in Fiken and the delivery check is complete. A final invoice, including any VAT, is issued on delivery and offset against the advance payment. Contact us if you pay after the deadline; do not pay for the order again.
For orders placed by quotation, Portalen Gruppen AS normally invoices in advance with a five-day payment term, unless the quotation states other payment terms.
Work beyond the agreed scope requires a new agreement on price and content. Late payments may incur statutory late-payment interest and lawful collection costs.
5. Use of the deliverables
Email marketing to a specific person, including at their work address, normally requires prior consent under section 15 of the Norwegian Marketing Control Act, unless a lawful exception applies. Buying a list and technical email verification do not replace consent.
The customer must use the information for the agreed purpose and comply with applicable data protection and marketing rules. Access to a phone number or email address does not by itself permit every type of contact.
The customer must assess the contact channel, address type, legal basis for processing, duty to inform, and any consent or suppression requirements. Portalen Gruppen AS is responsible for its own processing of personal data; the customer is responsible for processing where the customer determines the purposes and means.
Directly purchased extracts are for the customer business’s own work with its target audience. For orders placed by quotation, usage rights and any restrictions from data sources are specified in the quotation. Sharing, resale, or other use beyond the agreed scope must be agreed in writing.
6. Errors, changes, and discrepancies
Tell us if the delivery differs from the agreed criteria or field setup. Identify the relevant rows and what is wrong so we can investigate and agree on a correction or another solution.
If the customer wants to change the audience after work has started, the impact on price and delivery time must be clarified. We do not promise specific sales results, response rates, or meeting counts.
7. Confidentiality and privacy
The parties must keep confidential information received through the assignment confidential. This does not apply to information already publicly known or required to be disclosed by law.
How we process personal data is described in the privacy notice. New contact research assignments carried out on the customer’s instructions are covered by the data processing addendum and recipient overview shown and accepted before work begins. The addendum is tied to the specific order. Our own register services, account, payment, and operational purposes are assessed separately.
8. Term and disputes
A one-time order remains in effect until the agreed delivery is completed, along with the rights and obligations that follow from the agreement and the law. Changes to general terms do not change an agreement already entered into unless the agreement allows it or the parties accept the change.
The agreement is governed by Norwegian law. The parties will seek to resolve disagreements through dialogue. Disputes will be heard by the ordinary courts, with Oslo as the agreed venue, unless mandatory rules provide otherwise.
Questions about whether an order can be sent through contact page.
